My experience was horrible and I am sure my 65lb bulldog was traumatized!!! I took my furbaby Karmen in on 3/22/17. I wanted her bathed, nails clipped and glands cleaned, and ears cleaned. When I picked her up her head looked wrinkled, not normal.I just thought probably nothing considering she had never been groomed before, BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Whatever it was got worse daily and actually looked different daily! I tried calling the boutique on Mon because I wanted to explain what was going on but they were closed. I had an appointment in Georgia on Tues and I knew by then my dog needed medical attention so on my way home I made her an appointment with Greenbrier Animal Clinic. The vet agreed that it did look like clippers had been used and it also looked like an allergic reaction but couldn't understand why it was just on her head. I asked the vet to call Lylias Poodle Boutique and find out exactly what they did. Our vet said that Dorthy the owner explained their procedure and was very apologetic and told us that she wanted to pay the vet bill, and bathe Karmen in baby shampoo. She also wanted to get a look at what was going on. I told the vet that I really didn't expect her to pay the bill buy the vet said go ahead and let her and let her see what was going on with the dog. The next day my husband and I took our baby into Lylias Poodle Boutique, I thought for sure she would look at the dog but she rudely said I can't give her a bath today!!! I said, I didn't bring het for a bath. I had the invoice in my hand. She said I am not paying the bill and why didn't you call me 1st and I did try Mon but they were closed, to make a long story short, she had zero concern for my dog! She didn't even try to get to a private spot to discuss the situation. She just verbally attacked me and wouldn't let me explain anything! I couldn't get a word in edgewise. She was like I talked to the vet and I said YES I asked her to call you. She got quiet when a customer walked in so I took the opportunity to say, Well alls I know is someone in this place did something to mu dogs head. She then told me that I was rude, I said um I believe you are the rude one!!! She said LEAVE, JUST LEAVE! I then said I used you for over 16yrs, I cannot believe this!!! She said LEAVE!!! I DON'T NEED YOUR BUISNESS!!! I said I will leave and you need not worry I dont need your buisness. The vet treated Karmen for an allergic reaction but she was completely unsure what she was treating. I now believe it may have been blisters from scalding water, I don't think we will ever know exactly what happened. I honest to God cannot believe the way the owner Dorthy treated us. I took my yorkie to her for almost 16 years and recommended this place for years but now I say beware!!! You just don't know what you will get!!!
They always take great care of my puppie. Wouldn't take her anywhere else. She loves the girls. She never comes out scared.
