My experience with Budget Truck Rental in Anniston was horrible to say the least! I used their online service to reserve a truck with the belief that I would be guaranteed the truck we needed after doing so. Turns out, I was very wrong. My husband and I showed up at the time we requested and were told not only did they not have a computer to loan us the truck with, but they didn't have the truck we had reserved! She told my husband that she would have to have someone bring her a computer and that the 10 foot truck we reserved hadn't been there in over a week because "it was a popular truck". After waiting around for almost an hour, I called the 1-800 number and had them cancel our reservation so I wouldn't lose the $50 fee for cancellation. The person I spoke with then didn't seem to care one bit about our situation. After this happened, we drove down to UHAUL and were treated great and given exactly what we needed right then, even without a reservation. I would hope that our experience wouldn't define the entire Budget company, however, we will never attempt to use them again.
If you can locate this Budget place in Anniston, you are a better navigator then me! Even business owners near the alleged location were baffled by the fact that the address was supposed to be Budget Rental. I called the national reservation line to cancel the charge to our credit card and was told "No problem". I beg to differ because it was a GREAT problem to us. Corporate needs to remove this information from the web immediately.
