My vision has always been very poor and I have a few issues that require the attention of an opthamologist. Regardless of where I've lived throughout my life, I've reached out to specialists. Sometimes I lucked out, other times not so fortunate. All that said, a friend and colleague in Anniston suggested several years ago that I phone East Alabama Eye Clinic and request an appointment with Dr. David Lewis. Happily, I followed through with the appointment. I'll say without reservation that David Lewis is the finest eye doctor I've had to date. I recently completed cataract removal and lens implants, but not before barrier laser treatment to shore up my retinas. Pretty stressful stuff, but I'm done and I've got the vision of a teenager. Surely enough, this level of medical care isn't limited to Dr. Lewis and his staff. But there's more to a physician than a medical degree and a licence to practice. Dr. Lewis' temperament, demeanor and genuinely good nature were instrumental in easing the stress and anxiety that was about to get the best of me. Great job, David Lewis. You've got my respect.
