This month (Oct. 2017), my son had difficulties breathing again. I was instructed to take him to my local ER and asked them to transport him to Children's. When I arrived there, Anniston ER said that the dr had to make that decision. This time his O2 level was 85. They took him straight back. They gave him oxygen, breathing treatment, tylenol, steroid, and took a chest x-ray. They gave him steriods without even telling me. (I asked as they were giving it to my son) My son already had two dosages of steroids at home. Again Anniston ER dr said his chest x-ray was normal and proceeded to discharge my son as well. I expressed my concerns. The dr. told me my son wasn't going to develop pneumonia within the next two days. I left Anniston ER. 12 hrs later, my son's condition worsen. I drove him to Birmingham Children's ER...my son is developing pneumonia on the bottom of both his lungs. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANNISTON RMC for an emergency again. I give them a ZERO!!!!

New to the area, low on blood pressure medication, visit was to refill blood pressure prescription. 4 hours and $1875.00 later I left with the prescription. This is a criminal facility, avoid if possible.

In April 2017, I took my 6yr old son to the ER. He was having difficulties breathing. We waited to be sen for his vitals. His O2 level was 88. After taking his vitals, they sat him back in the waiting area. When they took him back; they gave him oxygen, a breathing treatment, and took a x-ray. His O2 level averaged 96 with oxygen. They said the chest x-ray was normal and sent him home. I took him to Children's ER to find out my son had double pneumonia. He was there for

12 days on the Special Care Unit fighting for his life.

This place is disgusting. I was pregnant and ended up miscarraging and one lady that worked in there was so mean to me and the doctor was mean as well. They judged me even though im grown, and wasnt married at the time. Saying i shouldnt be having kids if im not married. I ended up having another baby here later on. After i had him via c section, I was put in a room with no pain meds or anything without warning, crying and screaming all night and forced to get out of bed and walk. I have also been there 2 times with stomach pains. First time ome of the E.R nurses took a guess and said it was bronchitis. 2Nd time the doctor said i had acid reflux. I end up coming to Bham to find out i had gallstones lodged in my bile duct, causing infection to my liver and almost making me loose my life. This hospital is nasty, unprofessional, and they simply do not care. The only reason why i went back so much is because its close to my home. From now on i will drive to birmingham.

The worst experience ever at a hospital....the staff and especially the nurse all unprofessional and the room stayed nasty and dirty from the time the put me in the room to the day I got discharged....2 nurses changes the sheets on the bed 1 time.... I will never use or go back to this hospital again....I highly recommend people please don't use or go to this hospital

The worst hospital and staff i have ever seen. My dad was there with West Nile Virus, the doctors at RMC did nothing to diagnose him and didnt even have him on fluids. They said the second morning he was therw that we should choose a nursing home by noon that day because he had ‘rapid onset dementia’ and would never be any better. He came there with a fever and a horrible headache! We knew there was something wrong with him, so we insisted on a 2nd opinion and had him transferred to UAB hospital. At UAB they immediately began tests to include a spinal puncture. They put him on fluids etc. Within two days they had a diagnosis of West Nile Encephalitis. He stayed at UAB for almost a month, then a rehab facility for 5 weeks. He is home now and talking, walking with cane, showering on his own etc. If he had stayed with RMC and we had listened to their diagnosis and recommendations my dad would most likely be dead today. We were told at UAB by WORLD CLASS DOCTORS that without proper treatment he would have died. The staff at RMC was rude and unprofessional; doctors, nurses, and technicians alike. One technician tried to insist there was nothing wrog with him and that he should get up and walk to the bathroom instead of us calling her to bring him a urinal etc. He didnt even know where he was and was so weak he cldnt even stand. RMC is not worthy of even 1 star.

Lack of authentic physicians. Just in it for the money. Avoid at all cost.
